Date Night

Blazer: Primark           Top: Gap         Skirt: Topshop         Scarf: Alexander McQueen
Shoes: c/o DaisyStreet                 Ring: Spanish Market             Bracelet: Independent Boutique

Second Outfit post from the weekend away, apologises they are in fact taking in the bathroom of our suite but in fairness it had the best lighting and by the time I was ready to leave it was pitch black outside ( hello winter nights how soon you've joined us.) So bathroom pics it is!

It was hard deciding on this outfit as it had to be packed before I knew where we were going - I don't think boys understand this dressing dilemma! So I created this outfit around my A-MEH-ZING new shoes (blog post dedicated entirely to them coming soon!) So I threw on a simple monochrome outfit and added my trusty blazer for warmth and figured I wouldn't be too over or under dressed for wherever we ended up!

We ended up at a lovely Bar and Brassiere in the centre of Harrogate and I had the most amazing steak and desserts (pictures featured on previous post here) and then moved on for cocktails a few other bars in the area. A perfect night and I was surprised how my feet didn't even hurt - seriously love these heels!

Let's Start with Forever

Jacket: Primark          Jumper: Primark         Jeans: French Connection         Fur Stole: H&M
Boots: Topshop              Bag: Mulberry           Sunglasses: Chloe

I figured after my detailed post on the boyfriends and I weekend away I'd also do a few posts on my outfits worn on the mini break - believe it or not I did manage to make it out of the fluffy robes in the hotel and into an actual outfit or two!

I wore this outfit after strict instructions from the boy to dress casual and comfortable, by my own admission I don't do casual that well I'm a heels and dress kind of girl, but I'm seriously loving the Military trend at the moment and its inspired me to buy some simple denim shirts, cosy jumpers, the above parka and basic tees to expand my "casual" wardrobe!

I wore this outfit while we explored harrogate and it was surprisingly sunny though the wind made it a little chilly so it was a great excuse to dig out my faux fur stole from last year and wrap up. I much prefer winter dressing compared to dressing in the summer I think its just much easier to look chic. But hey that's just me!

3 Days of Luxury

A slightly different kind of post today, but I figured I should explain my little absence from the blogsphere for the last few days. I've been a very lucky girl recently and was whisked away by the boy to celebrate being together 2 years - we're pretty mushy!

So the boy organised a surprise long weekend and drove me to Harrogate where we stayed in the most beautiful Hotel called Rudding Park, if you haven't heard of the Hotel you should check it out here, I can't recommend it enough the staff were beyond helpful and so friendly, the food was delicious and the decor and our room was amazing the Hotel also has a Spa, Golf Course, Cinema and beautiful grounds to walk around meaning there's lots to do without even leaving the hotel grounds.

We were lucky enough to be given a complimentary room upgrade, and it did not disappoint! The largest bed I've ever seen, beautiful bath - which I made great use of, fluffy bath robes, gorgeous views onto the grounds, every piece of technology you could need and lots of complimentary goodies which I'm a sucker for.

The biggest and comfiest bed I've ever slept in!

Our "living area" - if I could of taken these chairs home I would have!

The Amazing bathroom

The Molton Brown Goodies!

My afternoon plans - Bath, Magazine & Wine!

Just half of the ridiculously well stocked not so mini bar!

The View from our room.

Afternoon Tea in our room

My Dessert - While Chocolate and Rasberry Eton Mess

The Boys Dessert - Chocolate Brownie

Relaxing in the Library

The mini break was perfect, and we had a relaxing stay as well as taking in the sights of harrogate, indulging in a little retail therapy, eating way too much food and having afternoon Tea at Betty's Tea room, which is a must and if your not Northern well worth the road trip! I got a little snap happy so I hope your enjoyed the pictures from our weekend. It was a lovely long weekend and to be honest I would of happily taking up residency in the Hotel but its back to work and reality tomorrow!

As the Season Changes

Dress with Belt: c/o Jarlo     Cardigan: Next     Shoes: New Look    Handbag: Dorothy Perkins

This is the outfit I wore this weekend to my friends BBQ, safe to say the last one of the season and the last bit of sun we'll have for a while, the dark nights have already arrived and its not stopped lashing it down with rain since. So I though I'd share this with you and remind you it was summer just days ago.

The Dress was kindly sent to me from Jarlo, and I must admit when it first arrived I didn't think it was very "me" however one slouchy cardigan and a belt later I was in love with it and it was the perfect outfit for the last summer hurrah. As I mentioned in my previous post here, Jarlo is a brand I've recently fallen in love with, and I have a list as long as my arm of things I want need in my life. With the new season upon us its the perfect reason to add to my winter wardrobe with the likes of  Zooey, Elise and Lucy dresses, all peter pan collars, swallow prints and sheer panelling - get in my life now!! The dresses are all named and after browsing on the site I realised the one in the pictures above is named Nora! I don't know if that's why this particular dress was chosen to be sent to me, but either way it made my day (little minds pleased by little things I know, I know).

Must dash I'm off to the cinema with the boy and by the sounds of it we are running late, let me know what you think and if you've fallen in love with any Jarlo creations!

BraveSoul A/W Preview Event

On Thursday I was lucky enough to be invited to attend BraveSoul's Autumn/Winter Preview Event at The Circle Club in Manchester. For those of you who aren't familiar with the brand, BraveSoul is an online clothing retailer for both men and women, they are a relatively new brand but there collections are growing from strength the strength, you can see my review on their last one here

The A/W collection for women features some great pieces that are perfect for this seasons trends, my favourite items have to be the Tweed Jacket, The "Leather" Waistcoat, The Chiffon Dipped Hem Dress - so that's the country & gothic trend nailed and the perfect little black dress in my wardrobe all for less than £70, can you see why I love this brand!

Not forgetting the boys! The men's line has grown so much since last time and included some great paisley & Aztec printed Tees, polka dot shirts and chunky knits that I can see being included on my boyfriends wish list and will make great presents for those poor bloggers bf's, who suffer each weekend by taking our outfit post photos - one of the main topics of discussion between the bloggers on the night - we all envy those girls with photographer boyfriends!

It was great to meet up with some of the bloggers that I met at the last BraveSoul event, who I've kept in touch with, as well as get to know some new faces, its always great at these kind of events to meet the bloggers that are in the Manchester area and create a friendship network as it can sometimes be daunting attending these things alone, however I'm beginning to really enjoy going to these events and seeing familiar faces!
Heres some of the lovely ladies I've met through events and their blogs...
Martyna from El_Martina
Karolina from Bogoosha
Julia from The Fashion Keeper
Lauren from L. Loves
Charlotte from A Trend I Made Earlier
Ashleigh from Pretty Girl Rich

It was a fantastic event with great food, drink and company, here are a few more snaps from the night

Run Away With Me

Dress (worn as skirt) c/o: Jarlo   Top: Primark  Blazer: Primark
Belt: Next   Handbag: Mango   Watch: Michael Kors   Turquoise Ring: Spanish Market

How beautiful is this dress?! I mean Jarlo are known as a brand for their beautiful dresses but when this creation was sent to me by the lovely Nicola from Fluorescent PR I fell in love with the gorgeous turquoise colour and welcomed it into my usual monochrome colour palette!

I couldn't wait to wear it and when I received a promotion at work a few days later, the boy treated me to cocktails and dinner it felt like the perfect occasion to showcase this beauty! The material is so soft and the amount of fabric made me feel amazing, being 5"9 I normally struggle with maxi dresses not being long enough when I wear heels but this dress was the perfect length!

I literally didn't want to take it off and the next day when I met a friend for lunch I wore the dress again but dressed it down with a denim shirt over the top and flats. With a trip to the races coming up and a few last minute summer parties to attend I think I'll be getting a lot of use out of this beauty!
